Event overview

This event examined different tools, mechanisms and approaches that can steer global consumption towards more sustainable pathways. In particular, lessons learnt from experiences of ‘nudging’ and other efforts in different policy areas such as food, energy, buildings and infrastructure.

This meeting was organized as part of the Shaping Future Demand series. It brought together representatives from industry, government, international organizations, NGOs, academia, foundations and think tanks to identify promising demand-side interventions that could deliver more sustainable outcomes.

Attendance at this event was by invitation only.

To enable as open a debate as possible, this event was held under the Chatham House Rule.
