The supply and demand of impact data is vital to enable finance to flow from investors to businesses that deliver social and environmental goals. The current lack of systematic data capture tools and integrated flows for impact-related data is one of the barriers to scaling growth finance for profit-for-purpose businesses. As such, this event will focus on exploring innovative mechanisms and pathways for capturing and utilising social and environmental impact metrics in mainstream financing decision making. It will bring together a wide-range of experts to share insights and ideas on how information beyond financial value is requested, shaped, accessed and used by stakeholders at each stage of an enterprise’s growth trajectory.
This strategic dialogue is part of the Hoffmann Centre’s Innovative Financial Intermediation project. The overarching objective of the work is to evaluate and design models to mainstream finance and investment for businesses that embed social and environmental impacts into commercial activities. This event builds on the insights from the first event in the series: Moving from Niche to Mainstream.
